Wish List
My wish list - for the site:
- Lake Directories - 1953/4 to 1984 (have 1985,1986, 1987); 1988-1990, (have 1991), 1992, (have 1993 & scanned), 1994-2004 (have 2005-7). I am making a cd of all to donate to the Culver-Union Public Library and the Marshall County Historical Society, Lake Maxinkuckee Lake Assoc. (would be a nice fund raiser for them to sell; ie genealogy & historical ads) - If I can get them all. I think they will all fit on one CD if not 2.
- Telephone Directories, especially pre 1952
- Use of or a paper copy of Cottage and/or property abstracts still in existence, even a scanned copy onto a cd
- Photos of the Old Cottages - especially those which have been toren down
- Photos of Cottages today
- A boat ride in spring/fall when trees are nto fully leafed out & summer to capture the lakeshore and cottages from lakeside.
- A new computer system - cpu, flat screen monitor, printer/scanner/copier, power back-up unit & line voltage regulator
- maybe DLS instead of Dial-up internet
- a laptop with portable scanner unit - so I can do traveling research work for the site.
- Tons of ink and paper make a paper copy of the site
- Home use of microfilm for the Marmont Herald and Culver Citizen - have my own microfilm/fiche reader purchased 1988
- extra lamps for the microfilm reader - the one it it is the original!
- personal subscriptions to footenote.com; history & genealogical databases
- personal subscriptions to newspaper.com
They have a free version of ONLY 3 pages per day - :) am I and using that for now (: anything is better than nothing!:)

- My hidden pot of gold I have not been able to find - its still MISSING 19 years later!

Well to add to the list I just found something new - ShotCopy = you see I have none of my pictures and as of this month Culver's CVS's no longer will develope film or negatives. I have all these negatives from 1972/3-1990 of the kids, David working around the lake... I have a digital camera (whether good enough is unknown) but I an willing to learn - think I have proven that over the years - Susie will not allow me to have the photo albums back long enough to scan the ones I want - I wonder if she really has them - I kept a few I wnaed of my fmaily or sduplicates that I wanted - YES I regret I was unselfish in giving her the albums.....
