Lake Association Directories
I have no real Idea as to when they actually started to be published - but the first one I found was 1953 and
that was the the Marshall County Historical Society - they had scattered issues from 1953 forward to 1990 when I first started
working on this.
I do know there was a list of cottagers printed in the 1930 Culver Citizen - and
whether that was an annual thing or just a one time thing is unknown also.
I do not know the practice if each business in town got one - if this was done the ones I should of been able to have had were
1963-1971 when dad was in the station as manager but if he did have them the all burnt when the
Lakeshore Garage burned in Jan. 1972. I do not remember seeing any
older issues in the building - maybe they had been tossed in the trash at the arrival of a new one.
So by decades here are a listing of what should be directories out there somewhere:
1953, 1854, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959
1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969
Depending on if found this will be the point where full scans of directories might be put online - unless someone
tells me different; have yet to decide how to do it -
1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979
1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989
1990, 1991, 1992,
1993 (have/scanned), Culver ads;
1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999
2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 (have/scanned), ads;
2006 (have/scanned), ads; 2007 (have/scanned),
I hope to scan as many as I can find - put on cd and by decades if possible I do not know how many years will fit onto a disk -
but can try for a decade; I am almost postive the 2000-09 decade will not fit on one disk byhwat I have each year it is growing
in content.
