Lake Association Directories

I have no real Idea as to when they actually started to be published - but the first one I found was 1953 and that was the the Marshall County Historical Society - they had scattered issues from 1953 forward to 1990 when I first started working on this.

I do not know the practice if each business in town got one - if this was done the ones I should of been able to have had were 1963-1971 when dad was in the station as manager but if he did have them the all burnt when the Lakeshore Garage burned in Jan. 1972. I do not remember seeing any older issues in the building - maybe they had been tossed in the trash at the arrival of a new one.

So by decades here are a listing of what should be directories out there somewhere:

I hope to scan as many as I can find - put on cd and by decades if possible I do not know how many years will fit onto a disk - but can try for a decade; I am almost postive the 2000-09 decade will not fit on one disk by what I have each year it is growing in content.

What a wounderful source of business history of Culver even tho maybe not every business advertised in the lake directory!
