1914 Sanborn Fire Map Culver Scott Ave.

Not all of Scott & Toner Avenue is represented by the Sanborn Maps of 1906 & this 1914 map! Missing is what is the most important part of Scott & Toner Avenue - the area in and around the Vandalia Depot - the very "infamous" area called "One Block West of the Depot" in all the nortious ads of the 1880's. 1890's and early 1900's. I personally can't imagine why this area with its depot, hotels and restaurants was not detailed.

This cropped section of map takes from Main Street to Lakeview Street:

this next on picks up on the East side of Lakeview Street and goes down to what is State Street today - in the map it is unnamed.
