James Easton BURNS
Just recently Jim's World War I draft registration was found. Which is below:
The following pictures are not labled and prove to be a mystery as yet - but it was implied that James was amongest the people in
them. Could this possibly be a Scottish/British military unit picture?
By his draft registration card which is hard to read - tho listed in "The Source" book as question 9 instead of 11 - the
questions is or a part of: Have you ever done any military or naval service in this country of any other country? Where, how long,
what branch, rank?
Thus Using this and being able to read the answers fully except for two handwritten words in No. 11 - we know he was a Corporal;
he served 4 years; and was in the Royal [-?-] [-?-]; and for Great Britian.
We also know he had yet to apply for citizenship by 5 June 1917.
