Will Indexes for Books 1 - 16

Alvin H. Inman was County Clerk for Greene County Indiana when I purchased the microfiche of records from the Clerks office in 1988.

This will be an alphabetical list to wills of Greene County. From these Indexes I will eventually link wills I transcribe in the future.

Book 12 ~ Feb 1986-Sept 1987 [Last Will entry bears this date stamp]

Book 13 ~ One Will Sep 1984; Jul 1987-Apr 1989

Book 14 ~ One will Mar 1985 & June 1985; Apr 1989-Mar 1991

Book 15 ~ Mar 1991-Jul 1993

Book 16 ~ Jul 1993-Feb 1996

The election or renunications sometimes appeared much later, I have tried to place all concerning a person's will under his or her name; thus the gap in page numbers occasionaly.

I have mirco fiche of all up to and including Book 12. I will start transcribing as I can. If anyone has a transcribed will; I will gladly make a page for it and link it to the site if you wish to share it.

As I will go through each fiche and list the clarity of the will - precentage unreadable, readable or faded; I will try and read any of them but can not promise much from them. I think that they should be done from the actual record book if at all possible and unsure if they would make a good paper photocopy. Thus this index as of now is a working copy.

This ia and Alphabetical list of the alls the wills in books 1- ? and it bears blank areas as some of the micro fiche indexes for the books were faded and would not copy well and thus could not be read - I did as best I could.
