Jesse Sullivan to Church of Christ

This deed made the 7th day of March 1913, between Jesse Sullivan
and wife Della Sullivan of Greene County and State of Indiana of the first part,
and Ivan Cox as trustee for a religious society in Highland Township, known as
the Christ Church of Christ, of Greene County and State of
Indiana of the second. Witnesseth, That in consideration on the sum of One dollar
and as a donation, said Jesse Sullivan and wife Della Sullivan do grant unto the
said Ivan Cox as trustee as aforesaid described Real Estate, situate, lying and
being in the County of Greene and State of Indiana, and bounded and described as
fol[lows:] A part of the northwest quarter of section 28 township 8 north range 4
west: beginning 268 feet east and in the center of the highway running mainly east
and west across said quarter, from the intersection of said highway with the west
line of said quater [quarter] section, thence north 104 ½ feet, thence east 104 ½
feet, thence south to the center of said highway, thence westerly along the center
line of said highway to the point of beginning, estimated to contain one fourth of
acre. The said Jesse Sullivan and Della Sullivan covenant to and with the said
trustee of said Church of Christ that they have the right to convey the said l_
to the grantee, and that he will warrant to the aforesaid church the property
hereby conveyed, to have and to hold for the use of said Church of Christ, and
upon express condition that no organ or other musical instrument be used or kept;
and that no fair, festival or other practices unauthorized in New Testament be
held, had or conducted in, upon or about said premises or in any building
constructed thereon; and, in case such conduct, act or unauthorized practices
are committed or performoed in, upon or about such premises, or any o[rgan]__or
musical instrument be introduced into any house or edifice erected on said
premises, then the management and control of said house and premises shall be
vested in the person or persons of the said Church of Christ who may oppose the
organ or other musical instruments, festivals or other things, here in before
named, being used in said edifice or house erected on said lot.
In testimony whereof the said Jesse Sullivan and Della Sullivan have hereunto
set their hand and seals this 7th day of March 1913.

Public in and for said County and State personally appeared Jesse Sullivan and
Della Sullivan whose names are signed to the writing hereto annexed, bearing date

me to be their voluntary act. Given under my hand and seal this 7th
day of March 1913.
